Meet our staff, members of the local community who make everything that happens possible.
Kimberly O'Madden (Nee: Jump) grew up in West Chester, Ohio. She was the youngest of six children. She graduated Lakota High School 1989 and continued to work in retail, Phillips Van Heusen as a Regional Assistant, while attending and later graduating from Miami University, Oxford with her Bachelors of Psychology.
Her "Why the Funeral Industry"?
Her "cousin Sandy" passed away at the age of 50 years old, after battling cancer. Her cousin and mother went to go make arrangements at the funeral home her family had always used. After a large amount of money and an overall bad experience, Kim promised her mother this wouldn't happen to her family again. She entered Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science and graduated with her Associates in Mortuary Science. She teases and says her mother took her up on her offer and passed away after she became a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer. She was able to give her her last gift and that was to make sure it didn't happen to them again. She worked in Lebanon for her apprenticeship, Milford for many years and at Montgomery County Morgue. She received her Master Funeral Director and Embalmer Certificate and looks forward to many years here in Portsmouth. She has three children, Isabella (18), Isaiah (14) and Elisha (10). She feels very blessed to be a part of the Daehler Family and looks forward to helping your family.
