SMITH

Stephen Paul Smith, 76 years old, Portsmouth resident, passed away on June 1, 2022, surrounded by his loving family. He was a 1965 Portsmouth High School Graduate and member of New Beginnings Outreach Ministries. Steve was a Fire Fighter for 25 years, retiring as a Captain of Portsmouth City Fire Department. He was a Naval Veteran during the Vietnam Conflict.

Steve was preceded in death by his parents, Lyle "Smokey" and Roberta (Nee Vance) Smith.

He is survived by his devoted Wife of 53 years, Sue (Nee Lykins) Smith of Portsmouth, one Son and Daughter-in-law, Trevor and Kari Smith of Portsmouth, one Daughter and Son-in-law, Erin and Rob Willard of Wheelersburg and one Granddaughter, Rylie Smith of Portsmouth.

Visitation will be Tuesday, June 7, 2022, 11:00 PM to 1:00 PM.

Memorial Service will be immediately following at 1:00 PM all at FC Daehler Mortuary, 915 Ninth St., Portsmouth, OH.

Pastor Andy Day will be officiating.
