It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Sara A. Gemperline, who left this world on January 11, 2025, at the age of 95. Born on September 25, 1929, in Columbus, Ohio, Sara embodied grace and elegance throughout her remarkable life.

A long-time resident of Portsmouth, Ohio, Sara was a devoted member of Christ Community Church for over a decade, where her warm spirit and faith touched the lives of many. With an Associate's Degree and an impressive career that spanned 26 years, she served as a secretary at Security Central, which later became Bank One. Her professionalism and dedication were admired by her colleagues and friends alike.

Sara was not just known for her professional achievements but also for her exquisite fashion sense. Her signature style and flair for dressing beautifully made her a beloved figure in her community. She found joy in the little things, particularly in her love for bargain shopping, delighting in the thrill of finding treasures that brought joy to herself and others.

She was preceded in death by her Mother Harriett Elizabeth Shy, and her loving husband John Joseph Gemperline.
