Ruth Esther Borgwardt

Ruth E Borgwardt, age 89, of Sciotoville, Ohio, passed away March 27th, 2022 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born July 28th 1932 in Maine to the late Rev. Forrest and Hazel Nickerson.

She was also preceded in death by her brother Walter Nickerson, a daughter, Carol Bentley, a son, Robert UHlig, a granddaughter, Rhonda Bentley, and a grandson, Michael UHlig.
She is survived by three sons, William (Teresa) UHlig of Huntsville, TX, David (Karen) UHlig of Dayton, OH, and Allan (Diane) UHlig of Arizona, two daughters, Dorene (Randy) Schneider of Sciotoville, OH, Kathy Jenkins of Sciotoville, OH, one sister, Betty Blair of New Boston, OH, and her special friend Liz Smith of Arizona.

Ruth is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
She was a proud, faithful member of the Apostolic Gospel Church of Portsmouth, OH for 18 years.

The family would like to thank SOMC Hospice for the wonderful care during this difficult time.

A Celebration of Life will be held April 10th at 6PM at Apostolic Gospel Church, 2037 Jackson St, Portsmouth, OH 45662 Reverend Robert Coffey officiating.
