CAMPBELL
Peggy LeMonne Campbell, 93, of Lucasville, passed away peacefully on January 23rd, 2022, at Best Care Nursing home in Wheelersburg.
Peggy was a Portsmouth City High School graduate. Life member of First Presbyterian Church, Women's Club and Garden Club, and retired from Harts Department Store. Peggy was an avid baker, sewer/quilter and basket weaver. She enjoyed cooking and nobody ever left her house hungry. She loved Christmas and adored her grandkids. She was never afraid to speak her mind, but always the first to bring a plate of cookies or food to anyone.
Peggy was preceded in death by her loving husband of 52 years, James E. Campbell, her sister, Shirleen Kuhn, and her son, Thomas Patrick Campbell.
She leaves behind one son, James Michael Campbell, of Lucasville, one daughter and son-in-law, Suzanne and Kip Mercer, of Newark, one grandson, Nicholas Mercer of Panama City, FL, two granddaughters, Emma K Beavers of Westerville and Sara L Campbell of Columbus; one great grandson, Creed Beavers of Westerville and a great grand daughter, Isabelle, on the way.

Funeral Service will be held on Friday, February 4th, 2022, at 12:00 PM (NOON) at
FC Daehler Mortuary, 915 Ninth Street, Portsmouth.
The Campbell family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Best Care, especially Peggy's favorite "Ruth", and SOMC Hospice. Donations in Peggy's memory may be made to SOMC Hospice.
