Paul "Mike" Michael Kessinger

Paul Michael Kessinger November 7th, 1941 -September 4th, 2021 Paul Michael "Mike" Kessinger, of Friendship passed away peacefully at SOMC Hospice Center on September 4th, after a brief illness. Mike was born on November 7th, 1941 in Portsmouth to Pete and Dora Kessinger. A graduate of Portsmouth West High School Class of 1959, Mike attended Wilmington College before embarking on his lifelong profession in sales, a profession that he greatly enjoyed until his retirement having finished his career as owner of Standard General Supply in Portsmouth. Mike is survived by his wife of 57 years Eva Kessinger, 3 children, Lindsey Kessinger, of New Boston, Dr. Jodi (Terry ) Walters of Toledo, and Jason M. (Cheno) Kessinger, of South Webster, 7 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and his older brother Jerry (Phyllis) Kessinger, of Flatwoods. He was preceded in death by his parents and his younger brother Timothy Kessinger of New Boston. Visitation will be held Friday September 10th, 4 PM to 6 PM at FC Daehler Mortuary Company, 915 Ninth Street, Portsmouth with a service immediately following at 6 PM. The Reverend Allison T. Bauer will be officiating. Dad, you now have the best view one could imagine so you can watch the Buckeyes on Saturdays! A special thank you the SOMC Hospice Center. Even though he was there for a short time their kindness and professionalism are beyond exemplary. In lieu of flowers the family would ask donations be made to the SOMC Hospice Center so they can continue their valuable mission.
