It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Patricia Pitts-Tracy, a compassionate soul who touched the lives of many, on January 11, 2024, in her hometown of Portsmouth, OH. She was born on August 17, 1935, to Raymond and Opal (Nee Truitt) Mowery. Pat brought warmth, kindness, and dedication to all aspects of her life, leaving an indelible mark on those fortunate enough to have known her.

Pat was a shining light in her community, known not only for her unwavering work ethic but also for her heartfelt connections with others. As the owner and operator of Pitts Insurance Agency, she passionately served her clients for over twenty-five years, providing them both protection and peace of mind.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Patricia found immense joy in the roles of wife, mother, and grandmother. She shared a cherished bond with her husband, The Late Harry "Pete" Tracy, and together they built a life filled with love, laughter, and support. Patricia was a pillar of strength for her sons, Tom Pitts and Chris Pitts both of Portsmouth, providing guidance and encouragement throughout their lives. Her devotion expanded to include her daughter-in-law, Cheryl Pitts of Portsmouth, whom she welcomed into the family with open arms, as well as three grandsons: Stephen "Tom" (Annabelle) Pitts of Portsmouth, A.J. Pitts of Portsmouth, Jay (Haly) Pitts of Chillicothe, three great grandchildren: Liam and Avie Pitts and Kaiden Osborn, two sisters: Sharon Boggs of South Shore and Gwen Johnson of Sciotoville, and two brothers: Scott Mowery of McDermott and Gib Mowery of Rosemount.

She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Raymond and Opal (Nee Truitt) Mowery, her husband, Harry "Pete" Tracy, one brother Homer Mowery and and one sister, Jenny Pieron.

Her impact extends far beyond her immediate family, transcending to the countless lives she touched through her compassion and generosity. Pat's loving spirit will live on, forever etched in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her.

A funeral service honoring Patricia's life will be held on Wednesday 17, 2024 at 1:30 PM.

Visitation will be immediately prior to service from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM, all at

FC Daehler Mortuary, 915 Ninth Street, Portsmouth, OH 45662.

Interment in Memorial Burial Park immediately following service.

Pastor John Gowdy will be officiating.
