Patricia Annette (Nee Tackett) Akers, 56 years old, Minford resident, beloved mother, grandmother, and daughter, passed away peacefully at SOMC Hospice Center on October 12, 2024. She was the devoted mother of William L. Akers and Nykeeta N. Akers, and a proud, doting grandmother to Trinity Akers, Jaxson Akers, Elijah Rawlins and Carrie Rawlins.
Born to Charles G. and the Late Charlotte A. Tackett on July 25, 1968, Patricia was raised in a loving family alongside her brothers, Charles S."Stan" Tackett and her twin brother Marion A. "Mat" Tackett. She was preceded in death by her dear husband Frank Paul Akers, Jr. with whom she shared only thirteen short years filled with love, laughter and companionship.
Patricia will be remembered for her radiant spirit, kind heart, and magnetic personality.
She had a unique ability to connect with others effortlessly, making lifelong friends wherever she went. She brought light and warmth to every room, and her presence was a source of comfort and joy to all whom knew her. A dedicated mother and grandmother, her family was her pride and joy, and she gave her heart fully to them.
Patricia's impact on the lives of her family and friends is immeasurable. Her love, laughter and unwavering kindness will continue to resonate through the lives she touched. She leaves behind a legacy of compassion, strength and grace.
Though she is no longer with us, her memory will forever remain in the hearts of her surviving father, brothers, children and grandchildren, and the many friends who were fortunate to know and love her. Patricia's life was a gift, and her spirit will continue to shine brightly in the lives of all who were blessed by her presence.
