Padmaben B. Patel, 81 years old, Portsmouth resident, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on July 8, 2022.

Padmaben was the Matriarch and strongest one in the family. She was a devoted woman, having a personal relationship with her God. Always putting her God first before doing anything. She had an extremely helping nature, and raised several families other than her own. She was devoted to her family and enjoyed spending time with them all. She was always prepared for any situation, with chips, snacks and everything needed. She was a very loving and happy woman, and will be greatly missed by all of her family. Jay Swaminarayan.

She was preceded in death her parents, Trikamlal and Surajben Patel, husband Babulal Patel, one sister and one son, Hitendra Patel.

She had three children: The late Hitendra (Kirtibala) Patel of Georgia, Ila (Sunil) Shah of Portsmouth, Chittranjan (Artiben) Patel of Cheasapeake, three grandchildren: Manali Patel, Parth Patel and Komal Shah, and one great grandson Max Thakkar.
