It is with a heavy heart and a spirit of celebration that we announce the passing of Mickey Horsley, who left this world on December 11, 2024, at the age of 59. Born on October 20, 1965, in Garrison, Kentucky, Mickey lived a life filled with love, laughter, and dedication to his craft as a self-employed mechanic in Portsmouth, Ohio.

Mickey was preceded in death by his parents, Elmo Jackson Horsley and Minnie Davis, with his sister, Susan Kay Smith, two brothers: Elmo Jackson Horsely, and Acel Leroy Horsely, one stepson, Keith Richards, two nephews: Tommy Ray Smith, and Scotty Ray Toller, one grandchild, along with one niece, Joni Rae Smith.

He leaves behind a loving fiance Kimberly Howard, who spent thirteen wonderful years together, children: Timothy Waughtel, Lisa Waughtel both of Lewis County, KY, Buzz (Leah) of Waverly, OH, Charles (Bobbi), Roy (Stephanie), Bridget (Justin), Jenny Lynn, Bobbi Jo, all of Portsmouth, OH, sister, Teresa Lewis, two nieces: Amanda Hall and Danyel (Jayson) McGraw, brother-in-law, Tommy Ray Smith, along with twenty-three grandchildren.

Mickey enjoyed working in lawn care, mechanic work and going to Bingo with his sister. He will be remembered fondly for always enjoying the time he spent with his family. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
