Melodie Jane Thomas, 64, of Lucasville, OH passed away February 25, 2024 at 2:50PM at home surrounded by her loving family.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Marilyn Sue McKee, her father, Byron H. Place Sr., her daddy, Clinton I. McKee, Sr, her husband, Steven Thomas, and her granddaughter, Malia Faith Thomas.

Melodie is survived by one son, Jeff Burt; four daughters: Marilyn S. Keene, Kim (Eric) Russell, Ginger (Adam) Thomas, and Nish (Ryan) Carney; eleven siblings: Danny (Tish) Place, Susan K. Owens, Clinton I. McKee Jr., Martha (Jeff) Kern, Kathy (Dustin) Crawford, DeEdra (Pete) Stuller, Byron H. Place, Jr., Glenda (Roger) Painter, Susan (Joey) Kopchak, Norbert (Marsha) McKee, and Meloney McKee; 25 grandchildren: Jeffery (Kate) Burt, Kayla (Dale) Burt, Courtney Justice, Danielle (Pat) Garrett, Kyle McIntyre, Jase G. Burt, Hailyn Crawford, Carsyn Crawford, Kobryn Crawford, Jaxsyn Crawford, Dustyn Crawford, Biesyn Crawford, Brooke (Corey) Smith, Dalton C. Herren, Kaylee S. Thomas, Hannah K. Thomas, Isabella G. Thomas, Seth M. Steven-Thomas, Sophia H. Thomas, Kaleb S. Thomas, Charles Keene, Brayton Keene, David Keene, Aiden Keene, Jaycee Keene; and 7 great-grandchildren, Kimberly Kopp, Curtis Kopp, Mason Merritt, Bjorn Merritt, Harper Hix, Beau Smith, and Forrest Garrett.

Melodie will be loved and missed forever and always by all! She was the strongest woman their family had known.
