Mark Richard Mamas, a loving father, devoted brother, and successful owner and operator of Portsmouth Motors and M & M Auto, passed away on December 3, 2023. Born on September 5, 1951, in Portsmouth, OH, Mark brought joy and laughter into the lives of all who knew him.
Mark's compassionate nature was evident in his interactions with others. He had an uncanny ability to see the potential in everyone, even when others could not. He cherished spending quality time with his children, grandchildren, and even himself. His thoughtfulness, warm-heartedness, and quick wit won him many friendships throughout his life.
Among his many passions, Mark had a deep love for classic cars, racing, boating, and bicycling. With a zest for life, he enjoyed soaking up the sun and making memories at the beach. Mark's enthusiasm for these activities brought joy to those around him and created lasting bonds with like-minded individuals.
A shining light in the lives of his loved ones, Mark will be deeply missed. His children, Brooke (Steve) Nelson, Madison, Mark Aaron (Amanda), and C.J. "Caden Jacob," held a special place in his heart. Additionally, Mark was a loving bonus father to Jaime Nichole, Kristian, and Michael. He cherished his role as a grandfather to Cameron and Alyssa Mamas, as well as a bonus grandfather to Emma, Jersey, Holden, Brimley, Lola, and Atlas. Mark is also survived by his caring sister, Lisa Mamas.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 15, 2023, from 11:00-12:00 NOON.
Funeral service will immediately follow at 12:00 NOON, all at
FC Daehler Mortuary, 915 Ninth Street, Portsmouth, OH 45662.

A private inurnment will take place at Scioto Burial Park, McDermott.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made to the 7th Street Christian Baptist Church in Portsmouth, OH, and to the American Heart Association. These contributions will ensure that Mark's legacy of compassion and kindness continues to make a difference in the lives of others.
