Marie J. Varney, 65, of Wheelersburg, Ohio, passed away peacefully on September 12, 2024, at SOMC Hospice Center in Portsmouth, Ohio. She was born on October 30, 1958, in Williamson, West Virginia, to the late Ina Marie Blair.

Marie devoted her life to being a loving homemaker and found joy in caring for her family. She enjoyed taking vacations to the beach, finding solace in the calming waves and warm sun. Marie had a passion for collecting various items and spending time tinkering with things that caught her interest.

She is survived by her life long partner John Wilson, and adoring daughter, Lisa (Rob) Roe, three brothers: Lewis (Jerinel)Asbury, Larry (Vanessa) Coleman and Charles Maynard, three sisters: Lynn Blair (Dexter Jude), Geneva Blair (George Darnell) and Jane (Mark) Vandyke, seven granddaughters: Jessica (Shane) Bailey, Brittany Varney, Helen Bradley, Haley Bradley, Abby Bradley, Aly Jo Bradley, Tiffany Roe, one grandson, Tyler Roe, six great grandchildren: Jaden Varney, Cameron Varney, Jacoby Caudill, Jaxon Caudill, Bryson Stiltner, Owen Wolford, Emily Bailey, Simon Bailey, Aria Wolford, Amani Dixon and Ayla Dixon and continue her legacy of love and kindness.

Marie was preceded in death by her mother Ina Marie Blair, and three sisters: Angeline, Pauline and Charlotte, and her daughter Angel Bradley.
