Lawrence Gilbert Williams, age 66, of Portsmouth, Ohio passed away Sunday, January 12, 2025 at SOMC Hospice with his loving wife, Jonda, by his side.  He was born June 2, 1958, in Dayton, Ohio to Lawrence Daniel and Shirley Erma (Nee Skaggs) Williams.

Gil is survived by his wife of 13 years, Jonda (Nee Burden) Williams; his mother, Vernal Ann "Sue" Williams; his brothers, Steve Williams, Scott Stolzenburg, Jack (Mindy) Williams; his sister, Becky (Clifford) Wingo Bowling; daughters: Angela (John) Conway; Denise (Steven) Donaldson; Tanya (Josh) Walters; and Dana (Jeff) Brown; most loved son, Daniel (Savannah) Williams; grandchildren: Dillon and Dominick Walters; Noah Donaldson; Maddy, Asher, and Myriam Brown; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father; mother; grandmother, Margaret Williams; baby sister, Dana Williams; nephew, Joey Skaggs; brother Davey Price; and his beloved dog of 11 years, Milo.

Gil was never idle being a dedicated worker and avid outdoorsman. He was a skilled glazier who worked in Indiana, Ohio, and Arizona. A few of his more notable projects included the glasswork at the Marriott Hotel of South Bend, Indiana; the Atomic Credit Union in Minford, Ohio, and a host of projects completed out of his own business, Williams' Glass of Minford, Ohio.

A handy man, Gil enjoyed working with his hands and could make or repair anything. He loved music and collecting guns and being outdoors, where he enjoyed hunting, fishing, four wheeling, and camping. He was a gifted, creative soul who took pleasure in designing and crafting stained glass, painting and writing poetry.

A memorial service will be held at Christ United Methodist Church in South Webster, Ohio on Thursday, January 16 th at 11 a.m. with a gathering of family and friends at his mom's home on St Rt 140.

Gil will be remembered for his engaging smile, his sincere friendship, and his love of family.
