Kenneth Drew Sanderlin, 78 years old, longtime Portsmouth resident passed away on August 8th, 2024 at Southern Ohio Medical Center surrounded by his loved ones.

Kenneth was born January 31st, 1946 in Detroit, Michigan to Otha and Maud Sanderlin. He graduated from Portsmouth High School in 1964 and after served in the U.S. Navy.

In his free time, Kenneth enjoyed gardening, collecting all varieties of antiques, and carpentry. He was filled with original ideas for craftsmanship. He also enjoyed watching his children play sports for PHS, football and basketball.

He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, brothers Bill, Sandy, Ronald, and Timothy Sanderlin.

Left to cherish his memory are the loves of his life, wife of twenty-one years, Silvia Elena Sanderlin, his children: Kenneth Otha Sanderlin, Dylan Drew Sanderlin, Kelly Elena Sanderlin, all in Portsmouth, Ohio, Maggi Apel of North Carolina, Casey and Eli Sanderlin both of Florida, sisters: Laura Kay (Ben) Gillilan and Deborah Annette (Warren) Throckmorton.

In honor of his wishes, a Gathering will be held on Saturday, August 17th, 2024 from

10 to 11 am. A Celebration of Life Service immediately following at 11 am, all at Temple Baptist Church, 1148 Gallia Street, Portsmouth, OH 45662.
