Jerry Allen

Jerry W. Allen, Sr., 68 years of age, lifetime Portsmouth resident, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, March 20th, 2021. Jerry was born October 17th, 1952, to the late James L. & Minnie Kathryn Allen. Jerry was retired from the Scioto County Engineers Office. He enjoyed sitting and watching the river every morning while eating his breakfast, and loved going riding around with his grandson seeing what they could get into. He also enjoyed hearing Gracie call him "Papaw King". He was Master Mason, of Western Sun Masonic Lodge #91, Wheelersburg, OH. He was preceded in death by his wife, the love of his life, Robin (Nee: Smith) Allen and his granddaughter, Ashley Allen. Jerry, Sr. is survived by his son, Jerry (Kelli) Allen, II of Portsmouth, his three grandchildren: Jerry Allen, III, Randi (Eric) Kent and Destiny Arthurs. Also his four great grandchildren: Trever, Gracie, Cami and Dax, also like a son, Aaron Rayburn, Wheelersburg. Masonic rites will be on Thursday, March 25th, 6:00 PM, at F.C. Daehler Mortuary Co., 915 Ninth Street, Portsmouth. Graveside Service will be held Friday, March 26th, 11:00 AM, at Sunset Memorial Gardens, 8580 Gallia Pike, Franklin Furnace, OH 45629. F.C.
