LISTON
Homer P. Liston, lifetime Scioto County resident, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 15th, 2020.
Homer was born April 3rd, 1935 to the late, James E. Liston and Edith B. (McCall) Liston-Imes.
He was a 1955 graduate of Portsmouth High School, where he played on the 1953 Undefeated Portsmouth Trojans Football Team.
Homer was a US Army Veteran actively serving in 1958-1959.
He was a truck driver for 25 years, for Standard Oil / B.P.
Homer was an avid golfer, playing in the Tuesday night league at the Elks Country Club for many years.
He also enjoyed traveling in his retirement.
Homer was preceded in death by his parents, and wife Alice K. (Bending) Liston, one sister, Helen "Pauline" Hatton, one brother, William F. Liston.
He is survived by two sons, and daughter-in-law, J.R. Liston of Reynoldsburg, Darin and Trista Liston of McDermott, three grandsons, Alec, Trace and Quintin Liston and granddaughter, Katherine Liston, longtime special friend, Jean Lauro of Wheelersburg.
As per request by the family, the Funeral services with Millitary Honors will be private but may be viewed at the F.C. Daehler Mortuary website:

Homer will be laid to rest at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Wheelersburg, OH.
