Floyd "Bill" W. Book, affectionately known as "Pap", 90 years of age, Portsmouth resident, passed away on April 28, 2022. Bill was a US Airforce Veteran serving in the Korean Conflict. Bill was a loving and dedicated husband for 63 years, a wonderful father and grandfather. He loved spending time with his entire family.

He also enjoyed almost everything outdoors, kayaking, canoeing, fishing, and hiking. He retired from GTE after 30 years of service and most recently from Glockner auto credit.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd Allard and Ruth (Nee Shaw) Book, three brothers and two sisters, and his loving wife of 63 years when she passed in 2018, Lois Ann (Nee Workman) Book.

He was survived by his loving and devoted children, one son Jeff (Cynthia) Book of Portsmouth, two daughters: Karen Book Alley of Portsmouth, and Pam Hensley (John Fitzgerald) of Lucasville, 9 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild and one on the way.

Celebration of Life Service will be held on Tuesday, May 24th, 2022, at 2:00 PM, at Grant and Summit Church of Christ, 1423 Summit Street, Portsmouth, Ohio.
