Donna Jo Derringer, 66, of Lynx, Ohio, passed away on June 24, 2023. She was born on September 2, 1956, in Dayton, Ohio, to the late John "Jack" and Gertrude Hunter (Sexton). In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Shannon Hunter; her siblings Jacqueline "Jackie" Loos (Hunter) and John "Johnny" Hunter; brother in friendship Joe Leonard Davis and sister in friendship Bette Davis.

Donna was a loving wife, mother, Nana, aunt, and friend. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Donna is survived by her husband Glenn "Tommy" Derringer; her daughter Alexandria Hunter and son-in-law David Gabe; grandsons Adam Scheper, Lucas Pace, Samuel Hunter, Symon Hunter, and Liam Gabe. She is also survived by her brother Ralph "Joe" Hunter, sister in friendship Patty Shiveley, and many other beloved family members and friends.

Donna was as a former employee of the meat department at Prather's IGA in West Union when she, Tommy, and Alex first moved to Adams County. She was better remembered as one of the beloved "girls down at Bill's Place," a now-closed gas station/convenience store that was the heart of the Lynx community.

In her free time, Donna enjoyed watching her favorite shows, playing games, crocheting, and was once an avid gardener.

A Celebration of Life, with luncheon, will be held in honor of Donna on Saturday, July 15, 2023, at 1pm at the Old Bentonville Elementary School, located at 7425 State Route 41, Manchester, Ohio 45144.
