Daniel "Dan" P. Goodman, aged 68, of Portsmouth, Ohio, passed away in his home on May 15th 2024. Born on May 26, 1955, in Portsmouth to the late Philip and Dorothy (Eckstein) Goodman, Daniel was a loving son, father, grandfather and friend.

Dan's educational journey included graduating from Notre Dame High School in 1973 before attending The Ohio State University. After school, he dedicated over 4 decades to his career at the Glockner Family of Dealerships, where he retired as a Parts Department Manager.

In his younger years, he was an avid bowler and a self-proclaimed "average" golfer. He also loyally donated blood to the American Red Cross. Throughout his life, he also enjoyed astronomy, woodworking, tending to his home, and turning the wrench on his cars. He was always willing to put others first and never hesitated to lend a helping hand. It didn't matter if it was fixing something or moving furniture, he would be ready to volunteer. More than anything, Ohio State Football was his passion. He loved to yell "O-H" wherever he went, eagerly awaiting the cherished response of "I-O" from a fellow Buckeye fan. When the Buckeyes were playing, Dan would be watching either at The Shoe or in his favorite chair in front of the TV.

He is survived by his children Leigha (Joe) Frazier and Jeremy (Angie) Goodman, along with their mother Teresa "Terri" (Johnson) Goodman. He was lovingly known as Pop to his four granddaughters: Natalie Frazier, Emma Frazier, Cadence Hall, and Keaton Ferguson-Goodman. He also leaves behind two siblings, Barbara "Barb" (Andrew) Glockner and Mark (Teri) Goodman.

In addition to his parents, Dan was also preceded in death by his brother Joseph "Joe" Goodman.

A celebration to honor Dan's life will be held at F.C. Daehler Mortuary, 915 Ninth Street, Portsmouth, Ohio 45662, on Friday, May 31, 2024 at 12:00 pm EST.

In lieu of flowers, monetary or blood donations may be made to the American Red Cross in Daniel's name, continuing his legacy of giving back to those in need.
