Charles "Chuck" Schneider

Charles Otis "Chuck" Schneider, 85, of Lucasville, passed peacefully on September 19th, 2022 at Southern Ohio Medical Center Hospice Facility.

Born May 18th, 1937, in Portsmouth, he was the son of the late Warren "Bud" Schneider and Melba (Bell) Schneider. Chuck served in the United States Army during the Korean War, worked as maintenance manager at Hillview Retirement Home, as facilities manager at the Piketon Uranium Enrichment plant, and then retired from Southern Ohio Correctional Facility after 10 years of service.

Surviving are his wife, Lula Mae Schneider of Lucasville, sister Sue Sloan of Portsmouth, brothers Jay and wife Janice of Dayton, Ohio, Randy and wife Dorreen of Sciotoville; stepchildren David Throckmorton, of Edmund, Oklahoma, Brian Throckmorton and wife Lucy of Galena, Ohio, and Crystal Davis of Portsmouth, Ohio; grandchildren Nicholas Lewis, Jacob Carver, Andrew Throckmorton, Lauren Davis, Adam Throckmorton, Victoria Espie, and Gallen Randall; and great grandchildren Jareth Alley and Camellia Espie. Chuck was preceded in death by daughters Cindy E. Morgan of Sciotoville, and Adlisa Schneider of Richmondale, Ohio.

A Memorial service is scheduled for Sunday, September 25th, 2022 at 2:00pm at the Missional Community Baptist Church at 1101 Cook Rd, Lucasville, Ohio 45648.
