Barbara Jane Marie (Nee Zimmers) Morelock, made her final transition on July 2nd, 2024 after winning her battle with pancreatic cancer. Her battle was short, but she was a fighter until the very end.
Barbara was born on March 13, 1949 in Youngstown, Ohio to James Melvin and Mary Jane (Nee Yousko) Zimmers, who proceeded her in death. She spent a big portion of her life in McArthur, Ohio, then recently relocated to New Holland, Ohio.
She formally worked at Thatcher Plastics,Meade Allied Technologies and Sugar Creek packing company before quitting to raise her children and help raise her granddaughter. Barbara loved to shop till she dropped, taking car rides while listening to Garth Brooks and being the life of the party. Barbara was very opinionated, outgoing and loved to have the last word. She was a lover of people and animals alike.
Left to carry on her memory, Kait Henderson(Michael Sturgill)of Minford, Chapman Fluent(Ashley) and Winston Mickle(Erin) of Washington Court House. Great grandchildren Ashton Sturgill,Jaheim and Jaleah Henderson, Cael and Aspen Fluent, and Wailen and Jaxsyn Mickle; two sisters, Maryanne Fluent of Hubbard, Ohio and Linda Murphy of Florida; and sister-in-law Maryanne Zimmers of Poland,Ohio, daughter-in-law, Betsy Stewart, best friends: Nancy Bryant, Jan Snyder,Ed Rittenhouse, and husband Mark Morelock.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, two children Terry Lee Fluent, Jr and Renee Lynn Fluent; a great grandson, Cole Joesph Fluent,a brother, James Zimmers, and two brother-in-laws: Gary Fluent and Mike Murphy.
To honor her wishes, cremation will take place and there will be no visitation or service. The family would like to thank Hospice of Washington Court House, Hospice of Lucasville for their excellent care.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society in Barbara's name.
