Barbara Amburgey

Barbara Jean Amburgey, 70, was called to her eternal resting place on October 10, 2022. She entered this world on August 22, 1952 in Portsmouth, OH, born to Cecil and Ella (Pollard) Hodge.

She is survived by her daughter Rhonda (Tony) Dunaway, her son Robert Amburgey, her granddaughter Brandi (Brandon) Shultz, and her great-grandchildren Connor and Kaden. She is preceded in death by her parents Cecil and Ella Hodge, her husband Gary Lee Amburgey, her granddaughter Marisa Nikkole Shultz, and several brothers and sisters.

She was a very loving, caring and selfless woman, and to know her was to love her. She worked at Vern Riffe Schools for many years and retired as a Teacher's Aide.

Her family was the light of her life. She will forever be loved and missed.
