STAKER
Anton Staker, Jr. Rosemount resident
Anton Staker, Jr., 90 years of age, lifetime Rosemount resident, passed away on June 21st, 2021. Anton was a graduate of Portsmouth High School, US Airforce Veteran, where he was an Aircraft Engine Mechanic. Anton was a partial owner of the family business, which began in 1956, Staker Sales and Service, located in Portsmouth, Ohio. In the later 1980's, he started AWS Engineering, where he performed engineering fabrication and machine work. He belonged to the Chevy Antique Car Club and Antique Steam Car Association. Anton was an antique car enthusiast, and was well known for his "Stanley Steamer", which he built himself. He and Mary enjoyed the Steam Tours, where they traveled all over the United States. Anton was a longstanding member of Temple Baptist Church.
Anton was married 62 years to the love of his life, Mary (Nee Bennett) Staker whom preceded him in death just last November. He was also preceded in death by his parents, Anton W. & Melissa Margaret (Nee Justice) Staker, and his son Charles Edward Staker.
Anton is survived by his loving son and daughter-in-law, Anton & Sandy Staker, III of Rosemount, daughter-in-law, Lillian Staker of Jackson, three grandchildren; Anton "Billy" Staker IV, Melissa (Nathan) Wilson, Clay Staker, and one great grandchild, Cayde Charles Wilson.

Visitation will be held on Monday, June 28th, 6:00 to 8:00 PM, and Tuesday, June 29th, 12:00 Noon to 1:00 PM.
Funeral Service is immediately following visitation on Tuesday, June 29th, 1:00 PM, all at F.C. Daehler Mortuary, 915 Ninth Street, Portsmouth, Ohio.
Graveside Service with Military Honors immediately following service in Memorial Burial Park, Wheelersburg, Ohio.
Pastor John Gowdy will be officiating.
